Leopard Gecko (Eublepharis macularius)
Habitat: Rocky, dry grassland and desert regions
Range: South-Asian Afghanistan, Pakistan, North-West India, and some parts of Iran
Ecosystem Importance: They control the insect population
Eating: In the wild, they eat other lizards, insects, spiders, and scorpions. They eat 4-10 food items every 2-3 days.
Offspring: Lay two eggs as many as ten times in a season
Mating: When introduced, males rattle their tails then grasp the females neck skin in his mouth and engages in intercourse
Life Cycle: 20 years, some make it to 30 years
Adult Size: Females are 7-8 inches and 50-70 grams and males are 8-11 inches and 60-80 grams
Identification: Pale yellow base with several tiny brown spots all over body
